Students have been working on a piece of artwork relating to Dia de los Muertos with Ms. Meg. These will be displayed in the front entryway of the brick building soon.
Students are welcome to bring in a photograph or drawing to put on the ofrenda of a loved one (relative, pet, friend) who has passed away. (Frames are ideal, as they will be easier to see on the ofrenda) We will take good care of these. They'll be sent back home Tuesday afternoon.
Please let me know if you could help us in these ways:
- Make or purchase pan de muertos (many recipes are available online or I believe Essential Bakery sells it around 11/2)
- Send in flowers from your garden for the ofrenda (marigolds are traditional and I always plant them for this purpose, but sadly, mine are gone already. Any kind would be appreciated.
p.s. Help wanted: I am looking for someone to assemble a small wooden revolving bookshelf (tabletop).
