Shaun O'Neil (John's dad) is a geologist who works in the Wastewater Treatment Division in King County. He put together a powerful presentation to give us background information on the history of water treatment in our region, to teach us about how the water in our area is managed, and to implore us to be wise conservationists when it comes to water and the environment.
Shaun's presentation essentially took all five of our inquiry questions into focus using the lens of a PNW resident. He made us realize how incredibly lucky we are to live somewhere with abundant access to safe water and the resources to accommodate the impacts climate change and population growth will have on our water supply in the near future. Huge thanks to Shaun for sharing his knowledge and passion with us!
